This page is used to provide instructions on how to gather research on business books and put them into a wiki page summary.

We are looking to provide very brief summaries and about five to ten links of pages regarding current business books. See examples of how your end product should look under "completed books."
  1. Select a "Book To Be Researched" from the table at the bottom of this page. You are not allowed to edit or choose a book previously selected by someone else.
  2. Enter your name, date (USA format MM/DD/YYYY) and list the status as accepted.
  3. Click on the name of the book. This will take you to a predesigned wiki page. Fill in each heading as prompted. If something is not available for that book, delete the heading. DO NOT alter the type font or style on the page. We are building an online resource and we want all of the pages to have a similar appearance.
  4. Brief Summary: include a few sentences that briefly summarize the book
  5. Amazon Main Page Link: include a link to the main Amazon page for this book. Note that some of these links can be quite long. All you need is the portion that has the Amazon name, the book title, dp and a number. Everything after the number can be omitted.
  6. Amazon Genre: include the Amazon category, if known (e.g. business, self-help, motivational)
  7. Amazon Customer Reviews Page: include a direct link to the page with Amazon customer reviews of this book. This is usually found by scrolling down to the product details section. After the stars for the average customer reviews, there should be a parenthesis with a link to the customer reviews page.
  8. Book Web Site: include a link to the web site for the book itself, if applicable (e.g.
  9. Author's Web Site: some authors have written many books and have a web site under their own name. Include a link to this site if applicable. (e.g.
  10. Author's Company Site: some authors may have a business they head that is separate from their book (e.g.
  11. Author Audios/Videos: include links to any audios/videos where the author talks about the book.
  12. Author's Bio Page: include a link to the author's bio page.
  13. Blogs/Articles/Reviews - include links to five or six current blogs, articles or reviews about the book
  14. Other Books by This Author: names of other books this author has written
  15. Similar Books by Other Authors: names of similar books by other authors, this can usually comes from Amazon listing.
  16. Note: If you see anything at the bottom under "Notes and Excerpt from Book," ignore this section. That is there for other purposes.
  17. Save your page.
  18. Check all of the links to make sure they are working.
  19. Change the date on the table below and list the status as completed.
  20. Send an email to and newhire@lifebushido.comstating that you have completed the project. Include a link to your completed page. Then cut and paste a copy of your completed page in your email as well.
